Overview
Our proposals – development East of St Peter’s Road, West Lynn
We are proposing to build 80 new high-quality homes East of St Peter’s Road, West Lynn, on 1.5 acres of previously developed scrubland. The houses would be for local people of all backgrounds. Our typical customers are young people, families and professionals. We are proposing to build a mix of homes of different sizes, as set out below. All of them would be designated as affordable. Eight of the homes would have one bedroom, 37 would have two bedrooms, 33 would have three bedrooms, and two would have four bedrooms. The surrounding area is largely made up of homes, with the St Peter’s Church and West Lynn Community Sports and Social Club nearby. The site lies west of the River Great Ouse bund and our scheme will be sensitive to views across the river.
The principle of development on the site has already been established by approved planning applications in 2006 and 2012. Despite this, the site was never developed. That enables us to submit this new application. We intend to submit the planning application to Kings Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council before the end of the year.
Our consultation on proposals for our site in West Lynn closed on Friday 16 October 2020. Thank you to all who provided feedback or attended our online consultation event.
We will now consider all the feedback we received during the consultation as we shape and refine our proposals before submitting a final application to Kings Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council.
