Consultation

Public consultation and community engagement play an important role in the planning and development process. We believe it is integral to developing the best possible scheme for West Lynn.

Working with the local community is vital to help us develop the best possible scheme to complement the local area. We value your views and we will now consider all the comments we’ve received during our consultation – which closed on Friday 16 October 2020 – alongside advice that we received from other stakeholders and technical consultants before we prepare our final proposals.

While we record all submissions to the consultation, we are unable to respond individually to feedback. Instead we will address all the issues raised in feedback in our Statement of Community Involvement which will form part of our application for Outline Planning Permission.

We anticipate submitting a detailed planning application this winter.

We hosted an online event on the 7 October to talk through our proposals and offer the opportunity for members of the public to submit questions. You can access the event recording and presentation below:

Timeframe for consultation and submission

Our consultation ran for three weeks from 28 September to 16 October. We will now consider all the comments we’ve received from our consultation before we prepare our final proposals.

We anticipate submitting a detailed planning application to Kings Lynn and West Norfolk Borough council this winter.

The community will then have another opportunity to submit comments to the council’s consultation.
